被狗吠的人， 不一定是贼；有胡须的人，不一定是艺术家；有”偏” 在脑里， 对别人就会有偏见。
很多人认为在技术学校念书的人都没有前途，那么请问你的汽车要维修员帮你维修吗? 你的房子要建筑工人来建吗? 你去餐厅吃饭要厨师吗? 这些都是人的偏见。 我们总是带着一副”先入为主” 的眼镜来判断一个人是好人还是坏人；把人放在一个由你设计的框框里，就有了对这个人的角色而解释， 以致偏离事实。就像对方没有一副青春活力的模样，在我们的脑海里就把他放进框框设定他是书呆子。
我们在判断别人时总是以”好” 和”不好” 来分类。当一个人给别人的印象是好，别人就以好的态度对他， 甚至用”好”来形容他的言行举止。当一个人给的印象被判断不好时，当他做好事都被看成坏事， 甚至刻意远离他。
我们常听说”女人都是烂驾驶” ， “男人都很不卫生”， “犹太人很吝啬”，”美国人很浪漫” 之类的，这些话却在我们的心目中刻了很深的印象，因此就用这些印象来判断他人。
艾斯曾有這麼一段妙喻，
當你暗夜走在街上，看見某扇窗亮了一盞燈。
也許有人會說 :「這一定是母親為還沒有回家的子女在禱告」
也有人會說 :「老天，一定有人在偷情。」
哈茲立特有句話 :「 偏見是無知的孩子。 」
說得一點都不錯，
「 人」「 扁 」為偏 ，
人一旦有了偏見，
就會把「 人 」看「扁 」、看「 偏」了。
